How Much Will It Cost?
You will note in the slides that National Grid ESO / ENA intend that the works shall be fully funded, and that there are indicative payments available for 2 levels of work:
- Setting changes / relay disablement – £1,000 – £1,500
- Relay change – £2,500 – £4,000
It should be stressed that these are early indications from National Grid / ENA, and we have yet to see what final offers may be. They also indicate that the payment availability is not indefinite, and we do not expect payments to be available after enforcement kicks in in 2022
As we have yet to see the full process, we are yet unable to fix prices to help you with this. Presently BJRE are anticipating that for a £100 + VAT engagement fee, we can help you with identifying your relay, its settings and submitting your application to the web portal. This assumes we can do this without making a site visit to your facility and can carry out all the assistance over the phone or by email. Should a site visit be needed to help you with identification, we can price that depending on your location. Our intention will be to combine as many sites as possible to keep your costs as low as possible.
Once your application is accepted, our charge to complete the works will be dependant on the work needed, but within the level of payment made by the DNO/iDNO. Again, our intention is to combine as many sites as possible to keep costs to you as low as possible. Once more details of the programme become apparent, we will be better equipped to start issuing fixed costs.
