At present, BJRE are based at 2 address’s in Kirkwall in Orkney, one encompassing the Engineering office, stores and accounts office, the other a sales and customer service office. 14 full time personnel are employed between these 2 bases, with an approximate 50/50 split between office and field personnel.
BJRE have been selected as a company of growth by Highlands and Islands Enterprise, and continue to expand to meet primarily the marine renewables industry on Orkney and the North of Scotland. However, enquiries from further and further afield continue to grow as even onshore wind developers realise the benefit of a project partner who can deliver a turnkey solution utilising in house personnel. As a result of this, BJRE anticipate employing further personnel based on the mainland of Scotland, not just to cope with the existing increase in onshore wind projects (BoP and O&M), but with the projected increase in wave, tidal and offshore wind energy projects.
Over the last 20 years, BJRE have time and time again demonstrated flexibility in working in worldwide locations, and in delivering the solutions our customers need. We anticipate that this ethos will continue to be at the core of the company as it grows over the next 20 years.
