A Fully approved and accredited SCHRI supplier& installer, Bryan J. Rendall (Electrical) Ltd established in Orkney since 1994 are authorised suppliers and distributers of www.eoltec.com and www.provenenergy.com wind turbines.

Totalling over 1250 wind turbines and over 1000 MVA of associated substations and collection systems, BJRE Ltd has an extensive portfolio of renewable energy projects ranging from householder and community energy schemes on off grid Scottish islands, to multi megawatt offshore wind farms with locations stretching from California to Australia.

From design and supply through to construction, commissioning, operation and maintenance, BJRE Ltd experience includes: grid connections of single turbines, large substations up to 180MVA/220kV,biomass, wave and tidal power, including The European Marine Energy Centre.

In Orkney BJRE Ltd operates NEG – Micon’s test turbines at Burgar Hill Wind Energy Test Site, including the NM92/2750 one of the UK’s largest turbines, and one at the forefront of wind power technology. BJRE have worked alongside the owners, NEG Micon since the inception of this project, and provided extensive design and logistical support, involving the movement of loads of up to 45m around the harbour and narrow roads.

BJRE Ltd were further involved in the construction of the NM92/2750, and with its grid connection. With a 92m rotor diameter, a hub height of 70m and an output of 2.75MW, this machine is of a scale matched by few others worldwide.
